In the next few weeks or months, I will be comparing several content management systems. The object is to provide the means in which you may select a content management system
of choice from the few select systems. Of choice is based upon your needs for features and how it will be used.
There are possibly one or 2 scripts in the open source community which fulfill the requirement in what I call the
Next Generation of CMS, they would posses the following:
- A - Ajaxed framework
- B - Drag and drop for the non -coder (the newsroom) and for ease of use
- C - Real time - inline editing
In addition to the 3 requirements, I will add a fourth. This would be the ability to add smart objects, objects that allow connectivity to remote devices.
