Audacity Multi-track audio recorder

This little gem has really grown up over the last 2 years.

Audacity version 1.3.3 beta for Vista is not worth the download. There are several problems one being the volume levels will self adjust to several levels lower. When you return to your recording, it will be trashed. Will be testing out v 1.37 beta to see if things have been fixed for Vista.

The GUI is cumbersome, that is, there are no multifunction buttons. For instance, when you hit Play, that play button should now become the Stop button. The Record button should then become the Pause button. When in a panic and your favorite song is playing on the radio, multifunction buttons (smart buttons) become real handy.
